Music. Art. Spoken Word…
Come Through is an opportunity for young creatives to ignite inspiration, expand horizons, find new collaborators and grow. At this multi-arts festival of youth culture, events spanning music, spoken word, visual art and performance flow into each other. Come down for one show and stay all day! Guided by the next generation of cultural leaders, like Tracks On Tap’s Lil Trubz, you could even end up headlining…
Featuring shows, workshops and open-mics from South London’s hottest young artists and producers, including: Tracks on Tap, Portland & Pals’ Sip & Paint, Poetic Unity’s The Laugh Word, and A Night with Lara and Caleb: The Lab.
Come Through is about cross-pollination, igniting ideas, networking, and only good vibes!
Info on the participating events:
Raw Materials: Raw Material Music and Media is a community arts and creative enterprise hub based in Brixton. Their specialism is music as a creative tool for self-expression, and they have supported thousands of young people and adults to create, produce and perform new music.
The Laugh Word: Poetic Unity returns with an intimate night of Poetry and Comedy featuring some of the UK’s best acts.
Portland & Pals - Sip & Paint: South London artist, Cam Portland brings to you a unique art event, full of fun, games and creation. This isn't your typical paint in silence art lesson! No more stuffy classrooms with Beethoven spilling through the speakers. Prepare to set your creativity free in a welcoming, vibrant social environment.
A Night with Lara and Caleb: Our regular collaborators, Lara Grace Ilori & Caleb Obediah, introduce A Night with Lara and Caleb: The Lab. The Lab is a night of performances of strictly original material. Live music, movement, poetry … you name it! Expect intimate vibes, bean bags and Queen K’s jollof rice followed by an opportunity to jump on the mic yourself.
Tracks on Tap: The face of the up and coming! Tracks On Tap is a hip hop and grime night, with open mic spots available! ToT are constantly bringing artists from their page to their stage - supporting artists online and truly helping them develop in real life through live performance. The work TOT does has been mentioned in the GQ Magazine and spoken about on Kiss FM.
Please note: Your £10 ticket gets your access to all the day’s shows and events.
