What’s a Ceilidh?

A ceilidh (kay-lee) is a night of dancing rooted in Celtic culture. Anyone can take part in a ceilidh - you don’t need any experience at all. Someone called a caller will walk you though the steps and call out instructions during the dance. What’s important is that everyone has the time of their lives!

FAQs:

What should I wear?
Anything that you are comfortable moving about it, especially comfy shoes!

Do I need to bring a dance partner?
You do not have to, though you are welcome to bring one! A ceilidh is a group dance, so you’ll be dancing with loads of different people.

What if I don’t want to dance?
That’s perfectly fine! We have a lovely bar area where you can get a drink and hang out if you don’t feel like dancing.
