Young Muslim Voices

Put yourself in the shoes of another person for a unique evening of storytelling, and join us to hear the stories of young Muslims from around the UK, performed by a diverse cast of actors.

VOICES, a social start-up, has been taking submissions from young Muslims over the last year – some of which will be performed during this evening. Voices aims to creatively challenge perceptions through the sharing and telling of people’s stories.

Young Muslim Voices is VOICES’ first project and consists of live events and online films of personal stories written by young Muslims in the UK, performed by diverse casts of actors, in order to challenge perceptions and draw out our shared humanity.

After a hugely successful first event last year at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, the Young Muslim Voices project is bringing more stories to the UK stage, aiming to share the stories with as wide an audience as possible and in doing so, challenging perceptions and promoting a community of diversity

Voices gives myself and other British Muslims our voices back. Voices is a new platform for British Muslims to air their stories, feelings, and experiences. Voices tackles Islamophobia and will help build bridges between us all
— Award winning actor and writer, Asif Khan
