About Us
Streatham Space Project is a Theatre, Music, Art, Dance & Comedy venue in Zone 3, south London. We celebrate the eclectic culture of south London, and host creative events to bring people together from across our neighbourhood. We provide formative creative experiences for young people, working with schools and charities, and work with first-time and experienced south London artists and producers to help them develop work, connect it to audiences in our area, and support their careers.

Public Shows
We’ve hosted events with critically acclaimed artists like David Harewood, Kae Tempest, David Baddiel & Dane Baptiste, hosted events based in Ghanaian, Polish & Yoruba culture, offered support for artists at the beginning of their career and hosted charitable organisations like Age UK, Institute of Imagination and The Prince’s Trust. We are a growing venue and since opening in June 2018 we’ve sold 24,200 tickets and brought over 38,000 visitors through the doors to rehearse, film, celebrate, or experience live theatre, music, comedy or art.
Young People
Remember the first time you went to a theatre, or stood on a stage, or drew something you were proud of? We work with artists, schools and charities to bring memorable cultural experiences that are cheap or free to the doorstep of young people in our neighbourhood, and their families. Projects include free family days, to intercontinental storytelling Project The Marvellous Myth Hunter, STEM projects for kids on free school meals, an LGBTQ+ youth group with Streatham Youth Community Trust and employment schemes for young people not in education or training. In 21/22 we reached just under 750 young people in-person.
South London Artists & Producers
The eclectic mix of artists in south London produces a mind-boggling array of creative projects. We work with experienced artists and people who are doing their first thing, to host, support, collaborate on funding and showcase work to our neighbourhood, and trust new artists and producers to do good things. Work has been developed at the venue for Roundhouse, the Barbican, Leeds Art Gallery, Ramallah Dance Festival, Latitude Festival & Jerwood Arts among others. In 21/22, 390 artists worked, performed at or were supported by the venue.
